Christmas needs to hurry up!

Oh the many faces of Vera...doesn't she just make you want to squeeze her!?? This is what I get to wake up to every morning! She loves waking up and just talks and smiles like crazy!

Have I told you how she screams when I bathe her?? She has HATED every single bath...until....

I decided to put her in Finley's bath (or his in-home swimming pool) and she LOVED it!  She was smiling at Fin and looking all around :)  Guess she just needed her brother.

Finley had friends over yesterday and he was in heaven!  He loves playing with his friends Eli and Asher so much! We had lunch and painted and they played cars and once they were bored with that we headed to the park with Popsicles...until I notice finley's face was telling me it was time to run home so he could make it to the bathroom! ;)  He made it.  Next on the list was popcorn and the movie Cars!  He had such a fun day!

I am counting down the days until Christmas break! (158 days until Christmas)  I am DYING to meet these little precious babies!! I am betting Vera will have more rolls than either one...my little baby girl isn't really little.  Vera can't wait to play with Trig and Kimber!! Love these babies already!! And I love that these cousins are so close in age!!

It's a new day...and more to catch up on!

Well today my little peach is 2 months old! I cannot believe it!  She is such a blessing and my heart is so full when I look at her!  I am so grateful for having such healthy and happy kids!!  I took them both for check ups today.  Here are their stats:

Finley weighed in at 31 lbs! He's in the 50 percentile for weight and height and 87% for his head! It must be because his brain is huge ;)The doctor was so impressed with how well Finley talked and his understanding and awareness.  He also loved Fin's imagination. (Finley was on the ground most of the time pretending to make us dinner... Pancakes.)He had 6 shots to catch up on so I pinned him down...(I absolutely hate doing this!) He kept crying saying "I need to get down for a minute.." But in the end he walked out smiling with a sucker and like his cool band aides!

Miss Vera weighed in at 11lbs 6oz and 21 inches long!  She is a little weed!  She is in the 40th percentile for her growth..a little short and big head like her brother :) haha.  She did not like her shots either...poor girl had to get 5 seperate injections because there's a shortage on the combination shots for our insurance :(...but after a brief period of screaming, she was out like a light!
At 2 months she is quite the song bird! She is always cooing and looking around and the second she spots me she does the biggest grin! It melts my heart <3

Now to rewind and play a little catch up:

 BLESSING DAY
Vera Faye Wright

Luke was able to give her a name and a blessing on June 9th 2013.  We were so happy my dad was able to be apart of the circle. It was such a beautiful blessing! Doesn't she look like an angel?  She was so alert and quiet during the blessing...it was just perfect. We wish we weren't so far away that we could have had everyone here!!
It was raining (no surprise here in Nashville) so we didn't take pictures at the church, but were able to snag a few when the sun came out :)

Making a Blogger Come back!

Well...the last time I blogged was Easter of 2012. Since then Luke was accepted to Pharmacy School at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Finley turned 2, I graduated nursing school and got my license as an RN, and we moved to Tennessee.  Oh, and I had a baby.
I will spare a whole year catch up of photos since those of you who might actually look at this blog have probably seen my pictures on FB or IG. But I will start with May 16, 2013 for the arrival of
Vera Faye Wright:
 6lbs 14oz 19in born @ 11:03am

Daddy is smitten by her...we all are.  We had a gift for Fin when he came to meet Vera.  She gave him a truck and sucker and he was so happy!

Grandpa Gary missed her arrival by 3 hours :/ we were sad he had to leave, but Grandma was able to come back from a CME in Florida to meet her! We were so so happy!!!

Finley absolutely loves his little sister whom he calls "Bera."  He is always checking on her and telling her to be happy and saying "see I love you Bera. Be happy. I am right here."  It is the sweetest :)

To keep Finley from climbing around the hospital equipment and rolling on the nasty floor, we plugged him into these headphones to watch some Netflix.

Vera has had no problems with eating or gaining weight.  Tomorrow is her 2 month check up and I am sure she is about 12lbs now! See this double chin!?!

Vera's real name is Verd. Thanks to Vanderbilt Hospital keying error...her birth certificate and SSN both read Verd Faye Wright. I now have a mess to deal with correcting it and insurance billing errors. It isn't fun...but this cute face is worth it.

I have a lot of fun playing dress up :D

Finley loves to sing to her "You Are My Sunshine."

She is just a little peanut when she sleeps! At night she sleeps 4 hour stretches...I got lucky the other night though! She slept from 8pm to 3:30am!

Mr. Finley has grown up so much!  He is quite the character...some things he loves right now:
1.  Dancing
2.  Wrestling with Luke
3.  Trucks
4.  Popcorn
5.  Fish (Preferable the Catfish at the aquatic center)
6. Water (pools, lakes, rain, etc)
7.  Fireflies
8.  Pancakes
9.  Gum
10. Getting Mail

July 3,2013 Finley decided he was ready to be potty trained... at least for #1.  He has done fantastic with peeing in the toilet...but going #2 is a different story.  When he needs to go #2 he runs and quickly locks himself in his room and does his business in his underwear.  This does not make me the happiest camper....But it is hard to be mad when he is so funny about it.  Like last night...Luke and I were watching a show and we hear his bedroom door close. We both jump up and run as quick as we can, but of course he locked it.  We were yelling, bribing, telling him how happy we would be if he would go in the bathroom- but we were getting the silent treatment. Finally he opens the door and holds up his hands and furros his brows and says "I am just trying to sleep...See I am just sleeping." As the room smells like...well, smells like what we predicted he was doing in there.  I tell him to get into the bathroom so he waddles across the hall as he is saying, "See, that's how you do it."  Are you kidding me? Where does he get these things??? So we made a trip to walmart and he picked out a toilet seat and a Push-Up sucker.  He will be rewarded with the sucker if he goes on the toilet from now on...we will just have to see.....and pray.

Well, that's it for today.
