My Sleeping Babies

Luke got out of school early on Friday and since it was sunny and above 50 degrees we went to the zoo!

 The Kangaroos are our favorite. They have a Kangaroo Walkabout and you just walk around with the Roos! They are so cool and Finley got to pet one :)

 Finley also picked out some sunglasses today at Target and will not take them off

 This is the coolest playground and we LOVE it! This is just a small glimpse of it...it's HUGE. And this is the main reason I got a season pass...just for the playground.

 Vera LOVES to swing...she just giggles the whole time. And of course Finley has to go high like a super hero every time.

Vera is 9 months & Luke turns 28!

@9 months:
This girl is a handful..

• has 2 bottom teeth and her 2 top teeth have just poked through, so this month has been full of crankiness and a runny nose and now that they are through she GRINDS her teeth and it drives me CRAZY!!
• she has become more of a daddy's girl..she gets so excited to see Luke and tries to talk to him like she has lots to say.
• she loves to look at herself in the mirror...she is always closing our bedroom door and talks to herself in the mirror that hangs on it.
• she has mastered crawling and gets around quickly and she is still trying to stand on her own and holds onto furniture and pushes whatever she can around the house.
• Bath time is her favorite time and anytime she hears water she goes crazy and heads to the bathroom.
• She is a good sleeper in her own bed. She sleeps 11-13 hours at night and takes a short 1hr nap in the morning and about a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. She is also quite the snuggler. If you lay down on the floor she will quickly crawl over to lay her head on you (this is Luke's favorite thing)
• She started eating more finger foods and loves apple jacks over anything else.
• she is saying more sounds ga,ba,ma,da,oo,t-t

 And my man turned 28 today, which he says is so old that there is no difference between 28 and 47 now...

 Luke's favorite dessert is either chocolate covered strawberries or a bowl of strawberries and sugar...and Finley insisted on a cake so Fin and I made this pound cake from scratch and covered it with sugar'd strawberries and surrounded it with chocolate covered strawberries. Probably the best cake ever.  Luke spent the day locked in our room studying while I tried to entertain the kids in the house without disturbing him :) Yay! haha

And this is his creepy smile...that he did because he tried to take a serious picture and I told him he had to smile...so this is what I get- Joker face.

These two are always together. Vera has to be wherever Finley is and they play so good together (for the most part :)

Finleyism

I wish I wrote down the things Fin says on a daily basis or that my mind would actually remember things as a young persons mind should...but it doesn't.

Just wanted to remember some things about Finley...

Luke asked Finley to go get him a butter knife so he could fix something. Fin then comes and asks me for a butter knife...I give it to him.  He stands in the door way staring at the knife and would not hand it to Luke. He looked up really confused and said "but, it doesn't have butter on it."

"Mom, did you know that all my friends at Chick Fil A love me?  I showed them my super hero powers."

Fin's worst nightmare:  He had a dream that the toilet shot pee into his eye.
