Thanksgiving Weekend

Luke and I celebrated 8 years together! We spent our anniversary taking care of a sick kid (finley has strep) and Lukes care wouldn't start...:) But we were able to go out a few nights ago with just kade to dinner and shopping.  I went to RS super saturday and made no sew felt bowties and hair bows for the kids! I am not crafty, but I am happy with the results and so is baby Kade :) We had our first Thanksgiving away from family this year.  I slaved away in the kitchen and made Roasted Turkey breast, stuffing, sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, black berry pie and homemade pumpkin pie!  It was a feast and it was GOOD...not to brag...Luke has been building a bunch of stuff while he had a few days off and the kids love to "help"....We then spent the weekend decorating for our first Christmas away from family (and last!).  The kids are so excited and so am I. This will be our first year that we have our very own Christmas! Every year Luke and I have spent the night at his parents (or lived there)!

Baby Blessing for Kade Calkins Wright

November 1, 2015 Kade received a beautiful blessing from Luke.  He started to fuss the second they walked up there and Luke forgot to take the pacifier up there...Bishop started to adjust Kades neck (He is a chiropractor) and Kade was quiet the rest of the blessing. It was a great day!

Halloween 2015

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! The weather actually allowed us to go trick or treating! The kids loved it! Some friends of our had us over for soups and rolls before we all went out together and their cute 7 year old Maci created a "spook alley" and it was actually scary! haha her friend posed as a zombie at the end where you were supposed to stick your hand in her belly and feel her guts (spaghetti) and then her eyes popped open! haha Vera loved it...Finley, not so much.  We also had fun at our ward party and I went as a pharmacist (I know, real creative) and Luke was Steve Nash (and people had no idea...the ym asked if he was from a movie and another guy asked if the suns were a real team still!!??)

Trip to AZ

We had so much fun in AZ when kade turned 2 months old! We played hard and slept very little :) We spent a lot of time at Riverview park, took a trip to visit Uncle Tom at his Fire station, ate lots of mexican food, had a birthday party for Jake and Finley's 5th birthday, went to Jill's wedding, had a beautiful baby shower for Meadow & Milo...and much more! So happy Kade was able to meet some of the family!
